The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering (ATSE) brings together over 900 of Australia’s leading engineers, applied scientists and technologists to create a better Australia and world.

ATSE is an active, founding member of the Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), an independent international organisation of engineering and technological sciences Academies.

We celebrate excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by appointing prestigious Fellows, awarding upcoming innovators, and equipping the next generation with skills to build a better Australia and world.

Our vision is a sustainable and prosperous Australia, where engineering and applied sciences protect our environment, nurture a skilled workforce, grow competitive industries, and enable all Australians to reach their greatest potential.

The commitment to an evidence-driven approach makes us a critical voice to decision-makers, influencing policy and guiding the nation’s strategic direction in STEM.

Our world-class STEM career programs are shaping the knowledge-makers and innovators essential for tackling our most urgent challenges – now and in the future.

Generations

by Sid Domic, Kalkatungu Man

“As with each generation we evolve, technology is also evolving. With this painting I like to acknowledge our Aboriginal ancestors and how they were connected with and understood country with intimate detail. As they cared for country, how they studied country and how they were a part of country. Their knowledges expanded to environmental sciences, engineering, marine biology, astronomy, health /healing, teaching / education.” --Sid Domic, Kalkatungu Man
